From Squash Courts to Crackers

What’s Been Keeping Me Busy:
It’s been a busy (and fun) stretch over here. I recently spoke at Shelf Made Success: Founders Going National, joining an inspiring group of female founders to share the stories behind our businesses. I also made a trip to Canada for a squash tournament, which was the perfect mix of work and a little friendly competition. Back in Buffalo, I stopped by the Panasci Competition during Startup Week to support some incredible entrepreneurs. A big congratulations to my friend Amy Meisenzahl of Great Lakes Dried Fruit for taking home the Audience Choice Award with their premium, locally sourced New York apple snacks.
Fresh Out of the Oven:
A little behind-the-scenes update and a big step forward for us. We just had a new line delivered, which will help us keep up with demand and improve consistency as we grow. It’s set to double our capabilities… (good news for your snack stash).
One of My Favorites (Right Now!):
I’ve been reaching for our Salt-Free Crackers nonstop lately. The story behind them is actually pretty funny. They started as an accident when we forgot to add salt to a batch and were planning to send them off to our composting service. Then I remembered my friends at squash were always asking for a salt-free option, so I brought them along to try. They ended up loving them, and now they’re officially part of our lineup.
Your friend,
Rebecca
