Celebrating Women’s History Month

Kia Ora!

In honor of Women's History Month, I'm thrilled to share the story of how my journey as a full-time mum for 10 years led to the birth of Top Seedz. After moving from Japan to Buffalo, NY, in 2015, first priority was to get our family settled. Then, the realization hit me: it was time to rejoin the workforce. However, my resume had a glaring 10-year gap due to my full-time mum duties.

As I faced rejection, I realized this could be an opportunity; "Do what you love, and you'll never work a day in your life." And what did I love? Great food, nutrition, and the connection between eating well and feeling great. The first seeds were planted.

The last seed fell into place when my I turned up at a party with an amazing dessert to share, the disappointment on the host's face was clear - "Where were the crackers?" Armed with a great recipe and determination, I got to work. I had to set up the business, make the crackers, and sell the crackers! That's all.

I now have a job, and I’m thrilled to say that 50 other amazing individuals do too. Here's to the remarkable women who have paved the way. After all, you can't be what you can't see.
