Sunflower Seed & Roasted Garlic Hummus...With Top Seedz crackers, of course ;)
Ingredients: (Makes just over 2 cups hummus)
- 1 cup Raw Organic Top Seedz Sunflower Seeds, soaked overnight (or 4 hours), drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup tahini
- 2-3 tbs Lemon Juice
- 2-3 Roasted Garlic cloves, or 1-2 cloves regular garlic, roughly chopped
- Fine sea salt to taste
- Fresh ground pepper to taste
- Water to thin
Optional Garnishes:
- Za'atar
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Flaky Sea Salt
- Fresh Herbs
Directions:
- Soak 1 c. of sunflower seeds overnight (or +4 hours), drain & rinse
- Peel the paper from garlic, cut off 1/4 from top, wrap in foil and cook in the oven at 400° for 20-30 min
- Combine sunflower seeds, 1/2 c. tahini, 2-3tbs lemon juice, garlic, pinch of salt, few grinds of pepper, and 1/2 c. water in blender
- Blend on high and scrape down the sides, repeat until smooth
- Taste! Add salt, pepper, & lemon juice as desired
- Garnish, serve, & enjoy!
