Sunflower Seed & Roasted Garlic Hummus...With Top Seedz crackers, of course ;)

Ingredients:  (Makes just over 2 cups hummus)

  • 1 cup Raw Organic Top Seedz Sunflower Seeds, soaked overnight (or 4 hours), drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup tahini
  • 2-3 tbs Lemon Juice
  • 2-3 Roasted Garlic cloves, or 1-2 cloves regular garlic, roughly chopped
  • Fine sea salt to taste
  • Fresh ground pepper to taste
  • Water to thin                                                                                                                                                                                                  ​

Optional Garnishes:

  • Za'atar
  • Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • Flaky Sea Salt
  • Fresh Herbs

Directions:

  • Soak 1 c. of sunflower seeds overnight (or +4 hours), drain & rinse
  • Peel the paper from garlic, cut off 1/4 from top, wrap in foil and cook in the oven at 400° for 20-30 min
  • Combine sunflower seeds, 1/2 c. tahini, 2-3tbs lemon juice, garlic, pinch of salt, few grinds of pepper, and 1/2 c. water in blender
  • Blend on high and scrape down the sides, repeat until smooth
  • Taste! Add salt, pepper, & lemon juice as desired
  • Garnish, serve, & enjoy!
